Fujian Nanping Paper's PM.6 to produce paper smoothly


(December 10, 2009 CFI Shanghai) After the first sheet of paper was produced successfully on Oct 9th for Fujian Nanping Paper, commercial production for its PM6 is approaching.

Currently, the machine is already running at 1,148m/min from the beginning of 727m/min. And it could produce various kinds of fine papers such as electrostatic copy paper in a basis weight of 80g and 70g and offset paper in a basis weight of 70g etc with the raw material of imported and domestic bleached softwood and hardwoodpulp.

The paper machine, supplied by Metso, will have a wire width of 5.8 m and a design speed of 1,400 m/min. It will produce close to 800 tonnes of uncoated fine paper per day.

Fujian Nanping Paper is one of the largest paper producers in the Fujian province. The company currently operates three paper machines at Nanping millsite with an annual paper making capacity of around 300,000 tonnes. The Metso supplied PM 5, started up in 1999, was the first OptiConcept paper machine ever built.
